
Headmaster and 7th, 8th & 9th Grade Teacher
Karl Blanke is himself a product of Christian education. He completed 8th grade at Redeemer Lutheran in Ontario, California, and is an alumnus of Lutheran High School of Orange County. He completed his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Oklahoma, where he majored in Letters and conducted research in the foundations of mathematics. He holds his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University. He has served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps, a trial attorney, a wrestling and rugby coach, and as a Christian educator. Prior to starting Lux Christi Academy, Karl taught mathematics and Latin at the university, high school, and junior high levels.

TK- Kindergarten Teacher
Angie Apodaca has a background in early childhood education and has been teaching preschool for over 30 years. Previously at Ramona Lutheran Church & School for five years as the Preschool Director. Angie served as the director for two preschool programs in Poway and Carmel Mountain. Angie is a Ramona native and has three beautiful daughters and three grandchildren who live here in Ramona. Angie is an avid hiker and camper, and loves spending time with friends and family.

1st & 2nd Grade Teacher
Karina Cahill completed her elementary and preparatory education in Mexico. During her service in the United States Marine Corps, serving as an Electro-Optics Ordinance Chief, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. While serving in Japan, she volunteered as the English club teacher for Tengan Shogako (a public Japanese school), held private tutoring sessions, and taught at Christian summer camps for many years. She worked at the Bechtel Elementary School at Camp McTeoreous, the DoDEA Pacific South District in Okinawa, Japan. Before achieving her master’s degree in education, she served as the early development coordinator at DaVinci Elementary School, helping students with autism spectrum disorder, among other disabilities. Upon her return from overseas, she decided to homeschool her children until she was led to Lux Christi Academy as a teacher.

3rd & 4th Grade Teacher
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Consuelo comes to Lux Christi Academy with thirty-five years of teaching experience with the San Diego Unified School District. Throughout her tenure, she has held various roles, including Early Childhood Education Teacher, Teacher Mentor, Training Facilitator, and School Director. Consuelo's academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Teaching, a Specialization Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from National University.
She is grateful to continue her teaching career at Lux Christi Academy, where the focus is on Christ first: "Here I get to share the word of God with the youngest generation."
Consuelo is married and has four children, along with six grandchildren, who bring joy to her life. Consuelo enjoys a variety of pastimes, including gardening, dancing, theatre, hosting family barbecues, and traveling with her husband, Chuck.
5th & 6th Grade Teacher
Krystyna Cahill completed her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Arts and Sciences from San Diego State University. She taught overseas in Japan and Taiwan as an English teacher with her missionary team. Coming back to the United States, she taught Sunday school at her local church and was a childcare assistant at The Gym in Ramona. She served as a Behavior Interventionist for Easter Seals and then came to Lux Christi Academy as the 5th and 6th-grade teacher. Krystyna is dedicated to encouraging hard work, kindness, and creating a positive, engaging classroom where students feel supported and inspired. She seeks to help every student grow with confidence and a love for learning. She has a deep passion for health, God's creation, and is dedicated to nurturing children’s minds through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In her free time, she loves to spend time in nature as she admires God's creation, doing outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Agricultural Teacher & TK Assistant
Sadie Lantz graduated from Colorado Early College in 2022. She then moved to California with her family, where she began pursuing her pilot’s license through the Ramona Flight Training Center. While in school, she worked at local feed stores in Ramona, gaining hands-on experience in animal health and developing a heart for service within her community. Sadie joined the faculty of Lux Christi Academy in August of 2025. She enjoys supporting students through hands-on learning, better understanding their faith in Jesus, and assisting the youngest learners as they grow and learn.
